The live broadcast of the Webinar: Circular Venture Building at the heart of the circular transition took place on February 7, 2023. You can watch the entire broadcast below. Click here if the video doesn't work.
Startups and scaleups play an important role in the circular transition, but building a circular venture in a linear world comes with many challenges.
Invest-NL worked with Arjan Rensma and Anieke Wierenga to investigate the current state of circular venture building: methodologies, acceleration programs and other support structures. Their finding is that most of the current venture development practice does not deliver what circular ventures need, and in many cases even work against circular principles. So, the question is: Which support enables circular ventures to flourish?
On the 7th of February, during the week of the Circular Economy, Invest-NL will share the outcomes of the research and host an interactive panel discussion on the opportunities and challenges for Circular Venture Building. We are happy that the following three key players will share their perspective:
- Lindy Hensen (Director and Founder, Tekkoo)
- Marieke Spijkerboer (Director Circular Economy, Ministry of Infrastructure & Water management)
- Rinke Zonneveld (CEO, Invest-NL)
Lindy Hensen is an innovator, entrepreneur and founder of Tekkoo and PeelPioneers. She wants to make the world a better place with innovation in the industry. Her speciality is translating R&D into business.
Marieke Spijkerboer is the director of Sustainable Living Environment and Circular Economy at the Directorate-General for the Environment and International Affairs of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. One of the challenging tasks is the realization of a circular economy. The National Program for the Circular Economy has been drawn up for this purpose, which is intended to give direction to the transition.
Rinke Zonneveld is currently the chief executive officer of Invest-NL, the national promotional bank for The Netherlands. He is passionate about entrepreneurship and innovation.
